Southern Watercolor Society 47th Annual Juried Exhibition 2024

The Southern Watercolor Society invites artists to submit work for the 47th Annual Juried Exhibition, to be held June 7–29, 2024 at Panama City Center for the Arts, 19 E 4th St., Panama City, FL 32401. The entry deadline is April 1, 2024. Artists must be 2024 members of the Southern Watercolor Society and reside in the United States. Membership dues are $30.00 and the application fee is $35. Both can be paid online at www.southernwatercolorsociety.org or at the end of the online application through www.callforentry.org.

Artists may submit up to two painting images. Paintings must be original in composition, water-based media on paper, watercolor board, or YUPO (unvarnished), with image size no smaller than 80 square inches as viewed within the mat opening. Framed size maximum is 44 inches in either direction. All works must have been completed in the last 5 years and not previously accepted into SW exhibitions. Collage is acceptable if consisting only of paper painted by the artist. Images must be submitted as JPEG files, 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5MB.

Cash and merchandise awards will exceed $10,000, including Best of Show ($2,000), Platinum ($1,750), Gold ($1,500), Silver ($1,250), Bronze ($1,000), and Sapphire ($450). Accepted paintings must be shipped via UPS or FedEx in reusable boxes with prepaid return shipping. A $25 handling fee is due by May 1, 2024. The juror is Lynn D. Pratt, an international award-winning watercolor artist and instructor. A 3-day workshop with Lynn Pratt will be held June 5–7 from 9 am to 4 pm for $399. The reception and awards ceremony is June 7, 5–7 pm. Panama City Center for the Arts charges a 30% commission on all artwork sales.
