Southern Printmaking Biennale VII International

The Southern Printmaking Biennale VII International is a juried competition open to all artists globally working in hand-pulled printmaking media. Submissions must be original, innovative works in all printmaking media including monoprints, monotypes, large-scale prints, three-dimensional prints, created at any point in your career. Artists may submit three prints for $35.00 USD or five prints for $45.00 USD. Each submission must include 3-5 digital images in JPEG format, 1800 pixels on the longest side with 300 dpi resolution, named as follows: lastname_firstname_entry#.jpg.

The juror is Nicholas H. Ruth, Professor of Art at Hobart & William Smith Colleges, Geneva, NY, and 2014 Southern Printmaking Biennale VI International Best of Show award winner. Accepted work must be suitable for gallery presentation, securely framed, wired and ready to hang with white or off-white mats and neutral frames. Only Plexiglas glazing is permitted; no glass or clips. The Exhibition Curator and Juror may reject any piece that differs significantly from the accepted digital image, does not fit the criteria, or is not framed appropriately.

The exhibition opens November 3 with an opening reception on November 10 and closes December 8. Artist notification occurs September 19, with shipped or hand-delivered work due by October 17. The award includes a one-person exhibition in Fall 2017 and the winner will serve as juror for the Southern Printmaking Biennale VIII International 2018.
