Sources of Inspiration

The Old Town Arts & Crafts Guild, Inc. invites entries for Sources of Inspiration, a juried art exhibition. The exhibition will be held at the gallery located at 28265 Main Road, Cutchogue, NY from August 27 - September 12, 2021. An opening reception and awards announcement will take place on August 27, 2021 from 5-7 pm. The exhibition is open to all artists age 18 and older residing in the United States. Entries are accepted in three categories: Fine Art, Photography, and Mixed Media (Crafts). The juror is Daniel Pollera, an award-winning artist known for his paintings of Long Island houses and nature scenes.

Entry fee is $35.00 for up to three pieces per category, with $5.00 per additional entry. Up to 20 works total per category may be submitted. Two-dimensional works cannot exceed 30" x 36" including frame. Three-dimensional works cannot exceed 24" in height, width, or depth. All works must be original, framed/mounted/displayed according to professional gallery standards, and wired for hanging if applicable. Images must be submitted as JPEG or JPG files, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5 MB. A brief artist statement of 50-100 words is required.

Awards will be made in each category: First place $150, Second place $100, Third place $75. Notification of acceptance will be made by August 9, 2021. Selected artwork must arrive by August 24, 2021. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance costs both to and from the gallery. The Old Town Arts & Crafts Guild retains a 30% gallery commission on works for sale. Payments to artists for sold pieces will be made within 30 days after the close of the exhibition. All artwork will be returned postmarked no later than September 18, 2021.
