About This Call
The Sony Future Filmmaker Awards is a competition for creators and filmmakers working in film, video, and new media. The program is open to international applicants.
Shortlisted filmmakers will be flown to Los Angeles for an exclusive four-day workshop event covering all aspects of the filmmaking process. Following the workshop, filmmakers will attend an awards ceremony at Sony Pictures Studios.
Awards range from $2,500 to $5,000 USD. Submission deadline: December 16, 2025.
