Solo Show in the d'Art Center Vault during Persistence IV

The d'Art Center Vault is a 132 square foot exhibition space housed in a historical bank vault within The d'Art Center in Norfolk's NEON Arts District. The Vault exhibits a solo show of one selected artist during each Main Gallery Exhibition. This opportunity is for a solo show during Persistence IV, an annual national exhibition celebrating Women's History Month featuring work from female artists across the United States. The exhibition is open to functional and non-functional work in all mediums including 2D, 3D, fine art, and fine craft. Proposed solo shows do not have to fit the theme of the Main Gallery exhibition, though artists are welcome to propose work based on the Persistence IV theme. The Vault can accommodate 12-15 pieces depending on work sizes.

The exhibition runs Saturday, March 19, 2022 through Sunday, April 16, 2022, with a Main Gallery Reception on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 5:30-7:30pm. The entry fee is $55.00 for up to 20 works. Artists must submit 10-20 images via Call for Entries (CaFE). Work must not exceed 50 pounds or 60 inches in its longest dimension and must arrive by March 13, 2022 if shipped. All work must be hang/presentation ready. Selected artists will be notified by email by 5pm on Monday, February 28, 2022. The d'Art Center retains a 40/40 commission on sales (60% artist, 40% d'Art Center). Artists are responsible for shipping costs and must provide pre-paid return labels via UPS or FedEx. The d'Art Center does not provide insurance coverage for artwork during shipping or transit.
