Solo Show in the d'Art Center Vault during Material III Exhibition

The d'Art Center Vault is a 132 square foot exhibition space housed in a historical bank vault within The d'Art Center in Norfolk's NEON Arts District. The Vault exhibits a solo show of one selected artist during each Main Gallery Exhibition. This opportunity is for a solo show during the Material III national exhibition, which features original fiber artworks from across the country and is open to functional, non-functional, 2D, 3D, fine art, and fine craft in fiber. Mixed media works are welcome as long as fiber is a major component. Proposed solo shows do not have to fit the Material III theme, though artists are welcome to propose work based on the exhibition theme. All styles and aesthetics are considered, and the space accommodates 12-15 pieces depending on work sizes.

The exhibition runs February 19 - March 13, 2022, with a Main Gallery Reception on Thursday, February 24, 2022, 5:30-7:30pm. Selected artists will be notified by email by 5pm on Monday, January 31, 2022. The submission fee is $55.00 for up to 20 works. Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from the gallery. Work must arrive by February 13, 2022, or be hand-delivered by pre-arrangement. Work cannot exceed 50 pounds or be longer than 60 inches in its longest dimension. All work must be hang/presentation ready. The d'Art Center's commission on sales is 60/40 (60% artist, 40% d'Art Center). Artists must provide pre-paid return labels through UPS or FedEx. The gallery is not responsible for damage during shipping; artists should insure their work. This exhibition is open to all artists 18 or older residing in the United States.
