Solo Show in d'Art Center's Vault (during The Center's Annual Women's Exhibition: Persistence)

This solo show opportunity in The Vault occurs during the d'Art Center's annual all women's exhibition, Persistence, held in March during Women's History Month. The Vault is a 132-square-foot exhibition space located in a historical bank vault in the d'Art Center's new location in the NEON District of Norfolk's Arts District. While Persistence is an all women's show, this solo show opportunity is open to all artists. Work should honor and/or celebrate Women's History Month. The opportunity is open to functional, non-functional, 2D, 3D, fine art, and fine craft in all mediums.

Show dates are Saturday, March 13th through Wednesday, March 31st, 2021. The submission deadline is February 7th, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Accepted artists will be notified by 5pm on Monday, February 15th, 2021. The entry fee is $45.00 for up to 20 works (one image per submission). Depending on size, The Vault can exhibit around 15 works. This is a juried opportunity judged by the d'Art Center gallery director and staff. Submissions must include 5-20 images of work samples.

Accepted works must arrive between March 2nd and March 6th, 2021. Shipped works cannot exceed 40 pounds or be longer than 60 inches in their longest dimension. All work must be hang/presentation ready. The d'Art Center will market the show through social media and patron base and provide invitational postcards/fliers. Commission on sales is 60% artist and 40% d'Art Center. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and must provide pre-paid return labels through UPS or FedEx. The d'Art Center's insurance does not cover damage during shipping; artists should insure their work. Artist statements of 555 characters or less will be displayed with the artwork.
