Solo Show in d'Art Center's Vault

d'Art Center is accepting submissions for a solo show in The Vault, a 132 square foot exhibition space housed in a historic bank vault located in the NEON District of Norfolk. This opportunity occurs during the National Juried Exhibition "Dynamic," d'Art Center's first annual contemporary arts showcase featuring artworks produced within the last 2 years (January 2020 - September 2021). The exhibition will take place during Norfolk's Annual NEON Festival. The Vault can accommodate 12-15 pieces depending on size. This opportunity is open to functional, non-functional, 2D, 3D, fine art, and fine craft in all mediums.

Eligibility is open to all artists 18 or older residing in the United States. All work must be original and created without the aid of an instructor or kit. Submissions require a $55 entry fee for up to 20 works (one image per submission). Artists must submit 5-20 images of their work. Exhibition dates are Saturday, October 16th, 2021 through Sunday, November 7th, 2021. Notifications will be sent by email by 5pm on Monday, September 27th, 2021. Accepted works must arrive by 5pm on Sunday, October 8th, 2021.

The Vault is a juried opportunity judged by the d'Art Center gallery director and staff. Commission on sales is 60% artist and 40% d'Art Center. d'Art Center will market the show through social media and patron base and provide invitational postcards/fliers. Artists have the option to host an opening reception with catered packages available ($250-$750). All work must be hang/presentation ready. Works cannot exceed 40 pounds or 60 inches in longest dimension if shipped. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and must provide pre-paid return labels through UPS or FedEx. d'Art Center's insurance does not cover damage during shipping; artists should insure their work.
