Solo Show Competition

This competition offers 2 artists the opportunity to each present a solo exhibition in a dedicated gallery space at the Old Courthouse Arts Center for the month of May 2021. The Old Courthouse Arts Center is a 5,000 sq ft gallery located on Woodstock's historic square, northwest of Chicago. The competition is open to all artists in the US, and all mediums and styles of artwork are accepted.

The 2 selected artists will each receive a solo room in the gallery for one month to design and curate their own exhibition showcasing a body of work. Both 2D and 3D works can be accommodated. Each selected artist will also have the option to host a private reception in addition to the main reception for all galleries, and will receive a video created about their solo exhibition and artwork. The entry fee is $48. The submission deadline is April 10, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Submissions should include 7-10 images of work and installation views/plans, plus up to 3 videos (7-13 total samples minimum). Notifications will be made by April 12. J + K Isacson are curators for this exhibition, working in partnership with the Old Courthouse Arts Center and the Northwest Area Arts Council.
