Solo Exhibition Opportunity

311 Gallery is seeking visual artists for solo exhibitions. This opportunity is open to any living artist in the United States at all career stages, including emerging artists. Artists may apply up to 3 times.

The gallery has approximately 140 linear feet of wall space, accommodating 20-40 works depending on spacing and size. Artists should have at least 15 works available. If an applicant cannot fill the entire space, their work may be paired with another artist. The exhibit runs from the First Friday to the last Friday of the selected month, with an opening reception on the First Friday. Possible months for 2021 shows are June through October. Rolling deadlines apply: apply by July 16 for September shows, or by August 31 for October shows. Applications received after September 1 will be considered for 2022 shows. There may be a few months to a year between application and exhibition.

All mediums are welcome (painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, etc.). Works must be for sale and able to fit through the gallery door (approximately 36 x 80"). Submit 5-10 JPEG images per artist at 1000-2000px at widest dimension, not exceeding 4MB per image. 2D artists submit one JPEG per entry; 3D artists submit two JPEGs per entry. The entry fee is $20 (non-refundable, regardless of number of works submitted). The gallery retains a 40% commission on all sales, with commission checks mailed approximately 30 days after sale. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and insurance to and from the gallery. The gallery has blanket insurance for works on premises but is not liable for damages during transportation.
