Solo and Small Group Exhibits

The Delaplaine Art Center, located in historic downtown Frederick, invites artists to submit proposals for solo or group exhibitions for one of our five galleries. Applications are reviewed by our Exhibition Selection Panel, comprised of artists, curators and arts professionals. All media are encouraged, and we are currently scheduling exhibitions two years in advance.

Artworks submitted within the proposal should be original of the artist(s). No commercially made prints, giclees, or reproductions of an original work of art will be considered for exhibition. Artworks created within the last 2 years are preferred, and there are no size restrictions for this call. Artists can submit artworks that are not for sale.

Proposals are reviewed every other month with notifications sent approximately one month after each review period closes. The fee for submission is $7 for Delaplaine Members and $37 for Non-Members. Artists must submit 6-20 work samples along with their proposal, exhibit statement, biography/CV, and artist statement.
