Solar

Pour-d is a contemporary gallery in Rockford, Michigan, housed in a historic building in the heart of the downtown area. The gallery invites artists to submit work to the 2023 juried Summer Show titled "Solar," which will be featured in the main gallery space. The exhibition runs from June 17 through September 1, 2023. Featured artists are invited and encouraged to attend the opening reception.

The gallery is seeking works featuring warm light, golden tones, and the feeling of summer. All mediums and genres are considered, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional work, digital art, photography, mixed media, and new genres. Artists must submit 1-4 images of original, unsold work for which they own the sole copyright. The entry fee is $20 (non-refundable). Notifications are generally sent via email within 3 weeks of the call closing. Artists selected for exhibition will receive an invitation status; those on the wait list may be considered for future opportunities.

Accepted work must be ready to hang with professional-quality frames, mats, and wiring in good condition. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and must include prepaid return labels. If accepted, artists will be notified of delivery dates after the call closes. The gallery retains a 30% commission on all exhibition sales, including print sales. Payment to artists will be provided within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from the buyer. All work must remain for the duration of the exhibit.
