About This Call

Bushwick Gallery invites artists to submit work for a group exhibition exploring the theme of soft shadows—the gentle tension between light and darkness where growth, clarity, and transformation quietly unfold. The exhibition welcomes works that embrace subtlety, contrast, and quiet power across painting, sculpture, photography, and installation.

Exhibition dates are March 19–26, 2026, with an opening reception on Thursday, March 20, 6:00–8:00 PM. The submission deadline is February 27, 2026. Located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, the gallery operates by appointment only and is dedicated to supporting artistic growth and innovation by highlighting diverse artistic expression.

Participation fee is $395, with an application fee of $25 per image submission. Selected artists receive professional installation, insurance coverage up to $10,000 per artwork, promotion on the gallery's website and social media, invitations sent to the gallery's mailing list, and photos from the opening reception. Space dimensions are 3.5 feet wide by 7 feet high. Applicants should submit an artist statement and artwork portfolio. The gallery works to accommodate artists facing financial hardship—contact [email protected] to discuss options.
