Society of Watercolor Artists Members Juried WATERMEDIA Exhibition 2015

ALL-WATERMEDIA 2015 EXHIBITION for SWA Members. Juror: Tony Saladino. Exhibition Director: James Stewart.

Eligibility: Open to artists 18 years old who are SWA members. Original artwork only, primarily water-media on watercolor paper or Yupo, completed in the last 3 years (after October 2012). Water-media includes traditional watercolors, acrylics, inks, or gouache. No collage, class work, digital reproductions, copies of other artists' work, or nudes. Work must not have been previously exhibited in SWA juried exhibitions. All works must be available through the entire run of the show. Framing must use Plexiglas glazing (no glass). Art must be ready to hang by wire, no saw-tooth hangers. Minimum frame size is 10" x 12"; maximum is 36" wide by 40" high (outside framing cannot exceed 2" width, total 38"W x 42"H). Diptychs/triptychs count as one painting and must be framed as such. A simple white mat is required. Floated work, colored filets, colored lining, or colored backboards are not allowed. Failure to follow guidelines results in disqualification.

Entry Fee: $35 (includes up to 3 paintings submission, but only one of the three can be juried to hang in the exhibit). SWA membership is required; annual membership fee is $40 (seniors age 65+ pay $30). Membership year runs January-December. Awards: $2000 (includes some merchandise awards), selected by juror's discretion, one award per artist. The juror will determine final awards after viewing work after installation. Sales commission: FWCAC (25%) and SWA (5%) = 30% total. Exhibition dates: November 6-28, 2015. Delivery location: Fort Worth Community Arts Center, 1300 Gendy Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
