About This Call
The Society of North American Goldsmiths Educational Endowment Scholarship supports students pursuing jewelry or metals education. Applicants must be enrolled in a Jewelry or Metals program for the upcoming year. The scholarship is not limited to university programs; community college programs are eligible.
Awards will be based on the strength of applicants' work, intended course of study, academic achievement, and letter of recommendation. All materials must be submitted by March 15, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Winners will be notified by the end of May 2012.
Applications must include: a transcript from your current educational institution, a resume with name, address, contact information, educational history, work history, awards, exhibitions, and scholarships received, a one-page artist statement, 5-8 digital images of a minimum of 4 completed pieces, and a confidential letter of recommendation signed and sealed. The letter of recommendation must be mailed separately (postmarked no later than March 15) to James Viste, C.C.S., 201 East Kirby, Detroit, MI 48202-4034.
