Snowy Range Art Festival 2021

Snowy Range Art Festival is a two-day juried event showcasing handmade works of 200 fine artists and fine crafters. The 2021 event marks the festival's centennial. Artists may submit up to three applications in the following categories: Ceramics, Fiber, Jewelry, Painting (Acrylic, Oil, & Watercolor), Printmaking, Digital Media, Folk/Traditional Arts, Metalwork, Papermaking/Book Arts, Sculpture, Leather, Drawing, Glass, Mixed Media, Photography, and Woodwork.

The festival is juried by world-renowned members of FAJA (Fine Art Jurying Association). All artists are reviewed on high-resolution monitors, with jury rounds held May 2-3, 2021. Artists remain anonymous and the order of jury is randomized within categories. All artists will receive jury results by May 7, 2021 and will be provided with the jurors' scoresheet regardless of acceptance. The festival maintains a 25-person waitlist. Recipients of 2020 awards and fellowships are exempt from jury.

The event takes place November 26-28, 2021, with judging on Friday, November 26 (10 a.m. - 5 p.m.) and public shows Friday through Sunday (Friday 12 p.m. - 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.). An Artist Awards and Festival Celebration is held Sunday, November 28 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. All artists must be present all three days. Awards include: Snowy Range Sculpture Award ($5,000), Isaac Icicle Award ($4,000), Quandary Peak Fellowship ($19,000 for emerging artists), and Snowy Range Best in Show (5 awards of $1,000 each with automatic invitation to December private gallery showing and 2022 festival. Booth fees: Single Booth $375 (10' x 10'), Double Booth $625 (20' x 20'), Contributor Extension $55 (10' x 3'), Corner Booth Addition $45. Application deadline: May 1, 2021.
