Snapped: Art Bias Photography Open

Art Bias is presenting Snapped, an inaugural open-call photography exhibition of broad photographic creativity. The juried exhibition will be on display August 3-29, 2025 in Studio 114, the Art Bias gallery, in San Carlos, California. A jury process will select up to 40 images for display, provide image feedback, and award monetary prizes of $100, $50, and $25 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place images respectively in each category, with Honorable Mention awards as appropriate. The Snapped Opening Reception will be on the afternoon of August 3, 2025.

Four categories of entry will each be individually juried: Black & White, Color, Film captured, and Youth (18 years of age and under). The exhibition competition is open to all photographers internationally. David Craven will oversee the jury process. All images must have been captured by digital or film cameras with post-capture editing limited to cropping, tonality and saturation adjustments, filters, and targeted adjustments using masking and/or layers. Removal of small defects and distractions is permitted. Art Bias will consider all images except those depicting obscenity, pornography, or hatred.

Entry fees are $25 for adults and $10 for youth (18 and under), covering one to three image submissions. Artists may submit works to any combination of the B&W, Color, and Film categories, and those under 18 may additionally submit to the Youth category. All artwork must be hand delivered; no receiving or shipping is available at Art Bias. Artists retain artwork ownership and grant Art Bias non-exclusive rights to use images for advertisement and display on the Art Bias website. Entry fees are non-refundable.
