SMASH Summer Fine Arts Festival 2026 - 9th Annual

SMASH Summer Fine Arts Festival is a boutique, highly selective outdoor fine-art exhibition held in Fillmore Plaza in the Cherry Creek North District of Denver. The festival showcases top-tier in and out-of-state artists and features live violin and piano music both days of the weekend, plus fine catering. Marketing includes direct mailing to CCN neighborhoods, outdoor signage, flyers, social media, magazine publications, email blasts, newsletters, and TV news media advertising.

The event takes place August 8-9, 2026, with setup on Friday, August 7th beginning at 11am. Show hours are 10am-5pm both Saturday and Sunday, with teardown at 5pm Sunday. Booth spaces are available in 10' x 10' ($625) and 10' x 20' ($1,150) configurations, with optional corner add-ons ($125) and electricity add-ons ($45). All artists must have liability insurance and are required to collect and pay Denver sales tax (9.15%). White canopy tents only are permitted, with specific requirements for setup, spacing, and professional appearance. 2D artists are recommended to use pro-panels, and jewelers must cover tent sidewalls with sheers, curtains, or high-quality fabric.

Applications are accepted from emerging and established artists. The application fee is $35, and artists may submit up to 2 applications. Accepted artists are notified by May 9, 2026, with a purchase deadline of May 12, 2026. Refunds are available at 100% if opted out prior to May 7th, 50% if prior to May 12th, and none after May 12th. The jury process uses an open jury with 2 jurors scoring applications on a Yes/No/Maybe and 1-10 scale. Approximately 200 applications are received annually, with an average of 35 artists selected and 2 exempt artists invited.
