About This Call
The SMASH Summer Fine Arts Festival is a boutique, highly selective outdoor fine-art exhibit showcasing top-tier in and out-of-state artists. Hosted in Fillmore Plaza in the Cherry Creek North District (Fillmore St. between 1st & 2nd Ave.), the festival takes place amidst affluent luxury condominiums, shops, and restaurants. This is the 7th straight year in the CCN District. The event features live violin/piano music both days of the weekend plus fine catering, with direct-mailing to CCN neighborhoods targeting art collectors, outdoor signage, flyers, social media, magazine publications, email-blasts/newsletters, and TV news media advertising.
The festival runs Saturday August 9th (10am - 5pm) and Sunday August 10th (10am - 5pm), with set up Friday August 8th starting at 11am and tear down Sunday August 10th at 5pm. Booth spaces are available as 10' x 10' for $575 or 10' x 20' for $1,050, with corner add-on for $115 and electricity add-on for $35. Artists must use white canopy tents only with weights on each corner, maintain professional booth setups, and exhibit only original artwork produced by the artist. All work must be original art including limited editions of the artist's original artwork.
Requirements include 4 images, a booth shot, liability insurance, and a Denver Special Event Sales Tax License. The application fee is free and emerging artists are accepted. Refund policy allows 100% booth-fee refund prior to April 30th, 50% refund prior to May 7th, and no refunds after May 7th. Overnight security is provided Friday August 8th and August 9th.
