About This Call
smallART 2024 is an exhibition open to artists in Arts Illiana's six-county region and the Illinois counties of Clark and Edgar. The exhibition features 2D, 3D, video, or jewelry in any medium, with cash awards for specific categories.
Artists may submit up to 5 entries with no entry fee. Work samples must be original works completed in the past 5 years and not previously exhibited at Arts Illiana Gallery. All artwork must be for sale, and the gallery will take a 30% commission on sales. 2D images must be formatted as JPEGs not exceeding 3MB. 3D work should have a neutral background. Video entries must be links to Vimeo or YouTube with private or unlisted settings. Maximum dimensions for 2D works are 12" x 12" including frame, with a weight limit of 50 lbs. Maximum dimensions for 3D works are 12" x 12" x 12", not exceeding 200 lbs or consisting of more than 25 parts. Jewelry must be mounted on matboard and framed with hanging wire. All artwork must be labeled on the back with title, year created, materials, and artist name, and must have a hanging wire for installation.
The entry deadline is October 25, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Juror voting occurs October 26-28, 2024, and artists will be notified by October 28 or 29. Accepted artwork must be delivered between October 29 and November 9, 2024. The opening reception is November 15, 2024 from 6:30-8:30 p.m., with viewing dates from November 15, 2024 through January 10, 2025.
