Small Worlds: Juried Exhibition of Small Works

Crooked Tree Arts Center in Traverse City, Michigan is accepting submissions for Small Worlds: Juried Exhibition of Small Works. This juried exhibition recognizes that bigger is not always better, encouraging artists and audiences to look closer and appreciate the little things in life. Original works of art no larger than 12" in any dimension are eligible. All subjects, themes, media, and approaches will be considered.

This opportunity is open to U.S. artists 18 and older. Artists may submit up to six entries. Entry fee is $35.00 per artist ($20.00 for CTAC members, free for Guild Members). An additional $5.00 media fee applies per entry beyond the first three. Work samples must include a minimum of 3 and maximum of 6 total samples, consisting of 1-6 images, 0-3 audio files, and 0-3 video files. The exhibition will be on display in CTAC-Traverse City's Carnegie Galleries from October 1 - November 12, 2022. Submissions are accepted online from July 6 - August 13, 2022, with notification by Friday, August 26, 2022.

$1,000 in prizes will be awarded: First Place $500, Second Place $300, Third Place $200. The juror is Tami Miller, Krasl Art Center Deputy Director and Curator. Artists are responsible for transporting work to and from Crooked Tree Arts Center through shipping or in-person drop-off and pick-up. Work must be delivered between September 20-24, 2022, during posted gallery hours. Unsold artwork must be picked up during gallery hours on November 15-19, 2022, or by appointment. Works delivered with return shipping arrangements will be sent by November 19, 2022. Crooked Tree Arts Center galleries are sales galleries; works can be for sale with prices set by the artist, and CTAC retains a 40% commission on all sales.
