About This Call
Small Works: Spring Renewal is a juried small works exhibition celebrating the beauty, energy, and transformation of the spring season. Artists are invited to interpret themes of renewal, growth, rebirth and seasonal transition. Floral and garden-themed artworks are welcomed, as are explorations of wildlife and nesting, or expressions of thawing and seasonal flow. This exhibition will feature intimate-scale works that capture the spirit of spring through diverse perspectives and mediums.
Eligibility is open to local and regional artists (New England & Upstate NY encouraged). All 2-D media are welcome, including painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, and mixed media. Photography and digital media are not accepted. All works must be 192 square inches or smaller (example: 12x16"), framed and wired for hanging. Gallery-wrapped canvases are not allowed. Hand delivery only is required. Works must be for sale with a maximum price of $1200. The MAC Center will retain a 35% commission on sales.
Entry fees are $25 for the first two entries and $10 for each additional submission up to a total of 5 works. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be submitted and paid by the deadline of April 3, 2026. The exhibition runs April 24 – July 19, 2026 at Monument Arts & Cultural Center, 44 Gypsy Lane, Bennington, VT. Notifications will be emailed by the end of the day on April 9, 2026. Awards include 1st Place ($250), 2nd Place ($150), 3rd Place ($100), and Peoples' Choice ($150). Contact James Coe at [email protected] for questions about the exhibition, eligibility, artwork requirements, drop-off, pick-up, or sales.
