Small Works Juried Exhibition

Small Works Juried Exhibition is open to artists worldwide, ages 18 and older, working in any media. Artists may submit up to three original works of art. Two-dimensional works must not exceed 144 square inches (12" x 12") excluding framing. Three-dimensional works (sculpture, glass, etc.) must not exceed 8" height x 8" width x 8" depth. All accepted artwork must be for sale and submitted with that intent. Once delivered, no entry may be withdrawn prior to the close of the exhibition.

The exhibition will comprise a maximum of 100 works of art, with no more than three works from any single artist. The gallery will take a 30% commission on all sales. Awards include Best in Show ($500) and Judges Choice ($250). The juror is Gianna Commito, a ceramic artist with an MFA from the University of Iowa and a BFA from Alfred University. Her work has been exhibited at institutions including the Akron Art Museum, MOCA Cleveland, the Drawing Center in New York, and the National Academy. She is a recipient of the Ohio Arts Council Award, the Cleveland Art Prize, and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant.

Entries are accepted beginning September 15, 2019, with an entry deadline of December 7, 2019. Acceptance notification will be sent December 15, 2019. Selected artwork must arrive at the gallery by January 10, 2020. The exhibition runs January 24 – February 29, 2020, with an artist reception on February 7, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. Entry fee is $20.
