Small Works Exhibition at Art Works Downtown

Small Works Exhibition at Art Works Downtown is a juried exhibition open to SF Bay Area artists who live within 100 miles from San Rafael. The exhibition is juried by Leigh Vogen, Director of Retail at Cavallo Point Lodge.

Artwork Requirements: Artwork must not be larger than 18"x18"x18" (frame and all materials included). Original artwork only; no giclees or reproductions. Artwork must be for sale and open to all visual art media. Artwork must not have exhibited in the 1337 Gallery before this exhibition. Entry fee is $40.00. Submit via CaFE.org only; AWD will not accept hardcopy, email, or disk submissions. Submit 3 work samples (images and/or video).

Timeline: Entries due October 29 at 11:59 p.m. MDT via CallForEntry.org. Notification by email November 4-5. Accepted entries must be hand delivered to Art Works Downtown, 1337 Fourth St., San Rafael between 11am-4pm on November 12. Exhibition runs November 18–December 31. Reception: Friday, December 9, 5–8pm. Pick up unsold artwork Saturday, December 31, 10am–4pm. The gallery will be closed for one week near December 25; extended hours around Thanksgiving to be announced.

Sales and Delivery: Art Works Downtown accepts a 40% donation upon sale. All checks and credit card sales are made to Art Works Downtown, which reports sales tax and passes the net sale to the artist. The artist is responsible for donating 40% of the net sale total to AWD. Sales will be paid to artists at the end of the exhibition. Artists who do not retrieve unsold work will be charged a storage fee of $1.00 per day; works remaining after 30 days become property of Art Works Downtown. Artist permits AWD to use images of accepted works for AWD promotions.
