Small Works Exhibition 2020

The Small Works Exhibition is Art Works Downtown's annual exhibit featuring artists' quality artwork for sale to the holiday gift-buying public. The exhibition will be displayed on rotation in the 1337 Fourth Street Gallery windows, on the AWD website as a virtual exhibition, and for sale in the AWD online Gallery Store. The juror is Jack Fischer, owner and director of Jack Fischer Gallery.

Eligibility is limited to SF Bay Area artists only (artist must live within 100 miles from San Rafael, California). Artwork must not exceed 18" x 18" x 18" including frame, stand, and all materials. The call is open to all visual arts media. Video must be silent and include player and monitor within the size limit; projections are prohibited. Original artwork only is accepted; no giclées or reproductions. Editions are acceptable (photography, printmaking). Submissions must not have previously exhibited in the AWD 1337 Gallery. Artwork must be for sale. Approximately 50–70 artworks will be chosen.

The entry fee is $30 for up to 3 entries. Entries are due by 10/17/20 at 11:59 p.m. MDT via CallForEntry.org. Notification by email will be sent by 10/22–23. Delivery of accepted entries is required 10/29–31 (1–4pm on Oct 29–30; 10am–1pm on Oct 31). A reception and art walk will be held 11/13 and 12/11, 5–8pm. Pick up of unsold artwork is 1/14–16. Art Works Downtown requests a 40% donation upon sale. Sales will be paid to artists at the end of the exhibition. Artists who do not retrieve their work will be charged a storage fee of $3.00 per day; works remaining after 30 days will become property of Art Works Downtown.
