About This Call
The National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society presents the 9th Annual Small Works: Best of America International Juried Exhibition, a juried competition open to current NOAPS members 18 years of age or older residing in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. International NOAPS members may apply but should consider shipping and customs fees. The exhibition runs May 1–30.
Eligible artwork must be original two-dimensional paintings in oil and/or acrylic, completed within the last three years, and not previously accepted in any other NOAPS exhibit. Maximum artwork size is 320 square inches (excluding frame). Artists may submit up to 5 works, but only one painting per accepted artist will be chosen for the show. Artwork must be created entirely by the artist's own hand using original photos as reference materials only; no mixed media, painted giclee prints, painted-over photographs, copied work, or instructional pieces are eligible.
Entry fees are $35 for the first image and $10 for each additional image (maximum of 5 images = $75 USD). Fees are non-refundable and must be submitted by the entry deadline of February 17, 2026. Digital submissions should be saved in JPEG format with images at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge and no larger than 30 MB. Images must be cropped to show only the artwork with no frame, matting, or background visible, and oriented correctly. Selected paintings will be showcased on NOAPS.org, in the NOAPS Blog, and on NOAPS social media. Acceptance into this exhibition counts toward Signature Status qualification (1 point). For questions, contact NOAPS at [email protected] or ShowSubmit Support at ShowSubmit Support email for technical assistance.
