Small Works

ArtWise, a non-profit art organization, invites visual artists to apply for a juried Small Works exhibition running May 20th through June 30th at ArtWise Gallery, Columbia Mall in Grand Forks, ND. The exhibition juror is Brian Paulsen, Professor Emeritus, who has juried 7 national shows, exhibited since 1960 in 2000 shows, is a recipient of a NEA grant, and is a member of the National Academy, NYC. He taught college art classes for 41 years.

This exhibition is for art smaller than 10" x 10" x 10" only, accepting both 2D and 3D works of all mediums including painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, and fiber. Framed pieces must be smaller than 12" x 12" with no glass. Audio and video submissions are not accepted. Works will be accepted on a piece-by-piece basis due to space limitations. Entry fee is $35 for the first 3 works and $10 per additional work, up to 6 total works maximum. All entries must be for sale. The exhibition is not digital; accepted work must be shipped or hand delivered to the gallery by April 28th, 2023. Awards include a $500 Juror's Choice Award and three $100 Merit Awards. Acceptance notifications will be sent by March 29th, 2023. The opening reception and awards presentation are May 20th, 1-4 pm and 2 pm respectively, and are free and open to all. Commission rate is 70% artist, 30% gallery. Open to all artists 18 years and older in the United States. All artworks must be original.
