Small Wonders - A Miniature & Small Works Show

Artists are invited to submit original artwork for the 'Small Wonders' exhibit at the Kavanagh Gallery of Fine Line Creative Arts Center, St. Charles, Illinois, running September 2 - October 9, 2021. This exhibit presents work that is small in scale but demonstrates attention to detail and unique concepts. Submissions are open to work in any 2-D or 3-D media equal to or smaller than 12 inches x 12 inches x 12 inches (including frame). The call is open to artists residing in the United States aged 18 and over.

Artwork requirements: pieces must be original, completed within the last two years, and not previously shown at Fine Line. All pieces must be for sale. Up to 3 pieces may be submitted per entry. A non-refundable entry fee of $35 is required. An artist statement limited to 1000 characters is required. The Kavanagh Gallery Committee will curate the show and charge a 30% sales commission on any artwork sold. Fine Line handles all sales, sales tax, and installation. The gallery provides grey pedestals and uses the Walker Display system for wall-hung work (wire and screw eyes required; no saw-tooth hangers or clip frames). Artists are responsible for shipping artwork to and from Fine Line and must include a return shipping label. Fine Line provides 24/7 security and insurance coverage (valued at 70% of sale price) from receipt of work until show's end; artists are responsible for shipping insurance.

Awards: $800 in prizes will be awarded. Jury decisions are based on creativity, quality of artistry, and originality. Notification of jury decisions will be sent via email on or before July 24, 2021. Delivery and check-in of work is August 31, 2021 (10 am - 6 pm by hand). The show opening is September 10, 2021. Public hours are Monday-Saturday, 10 am - 5 pm. Work pickup/shipping is October 12, 2021 (10 am - 6 pm); exhibited work cannot be removed until this date.
