Small Wonders

Spencertown Academy invites artists to submit small works to the Small Wonders - Regional Fine Arts & Crafts show. Members of the Curatorial Committee will select artworks to represent the best of the region's small arts and crafts.

Artists may submit up to three (3) small artworks, not exceeding 12" in any direction in a wide range of 2D or 3D media. Original works must have been created within the last three years and not previously exhibited at the Academy. Submissions are accepted from artists who are residents of Columbia County, New York, or the following nearby counties: Albany, Dutchess, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Ulster, and Washington in NY; Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire in MA; or Fairfield and Litchfield in CT. Media includes painting, drawing, photography, collage, mixed media, printmaking, encaustics, ceramic, glass, metal, stone, wood, and other sculptural media. Giclee prints, AI-created works, and diptychs, triptychs, or multi-paneled works are not accepted.

The exhibition runs July 11 – August 9, 2026 at The Gallery at Spencertown Academy Arts Center, 790 Route 203, Spencertown NY 12165. Entry fees are $15 for current members or $25 for non-members (up to 3 works). All work must be for sale. The Academy commission is 35% of the sales price. Framed works should be ready to hang with securely attached picture wire. All artworks must be delivered and picked up in-person on specified dates. The Academy insures work up to a maximum value of $5,000 per item while on its premises. Notifications will be emailed by June 1, 2026.
