Small Expressions 21: A Juried Exhibit of Regional Small Works

Small Expressions, now in its 21st year, is a juried small works exhibit designed to encourage art buys for the gift giving season. The exhibit is open to all media including jewelry. Entries must be original, entirely the work of the entrant, and executed within the last three years. No work shall exceed 16" in any direction, including frame and mount. The exhibit is held at Northwind Art's Jeanette Best Gallery in downtown Port Townsend. Buyers can take the work after the opening weekend.

This is a regional exhibit open to all participants from the Pacific Northwest region (WA/OR/AK/ID/MT/WY and BC). A maximum of five entries may be submitted per artist. The entry fee is $30 for up to five entries. Submitted digital images should represent the quality and nature of the work; work that is considerably different than the submitted images may not be accepted. Artists must submit one image per artwork showing the artwork in its entirety, with file size no larger than 5MB each.

Awards include a $500 Juror's Choice Award, three $300 Merit Awards, and a $100 post-exhibit People's Choice Award. The exhibition runs from November 18, 2022 to January 2, 2023, with hours Thursday-Monday 12:00-5:00 or by appointment. Should work sell, Northwind Art will pay 60% of the retail selling price. Artists must include return postage for any accepted work that does not sell. Shipped work must arrive between November 8-12, 2022. All artwork must be ready to display and properly labeled with artist name, phone, artwork title, medium, and price.
