Small Expressions 2024

Small Expressions is a juried small works exhibit designed to encourage art purchases for the gift-giving season. The exhibit is open to artists in all media. Selected artworks shall not exceed 16" in any direction, including frame and mount. All submitted works must be for sale. A $500 Juror's Choice Award will be presented.

Artworks will be juried online from submitted images. The exhibit will be held at Northwind Art's Jeanette Best Gallery in downtown Port Townsend from November 22, 2024 through January 6, 2025. When work is sold at this exhibit it will be removed immediately and replaced with a new work. Selected artists will have one to three artworks displayed at a time, with a few pieces in backstock ready to replace any artworks that have been sold. Artwork will be chosen by a panel of Northwind Art curators judging the quality, professionalism, and sales potential of the work.

A maximum of seven entries may be submitted per artist at $25 for up to seven entries. Submitted digital images should represent the quality and nature of the work. Artists must submit an image showing the artwork in its entirety; only one image per artwork may be submitted. Work that is considerably different than the submitted images may not be accepted. All accepted artwork must be delivered in person to Jeanette Best Gallery at 701 Water Street in Port Townsend between November 15-18, 12:00pm-5:00pm. Northwind Art will not accept shipped artwork nor will ship unsold work back to artists. Selected artists will receive 50% of the retail selling price for sold work.
