About This Call
Organized by ValleyArts, Slice of Orange 2016 is a juried art exhibition open to artists from the NJ and NY metropolitan area working in two-dimensional art, including painting, drawing, mixed media, and photography. The exhibition will be held at the ValleyArts Firehouse Gallery in the Valley Arts District of Orange and West Orange from September 22 through October 16, 2016.
Artists are invited to submit original images of settings or subjects in New Jersey's City of Orange or the Township of West Orange. The exhibition aims to showcase impressions of these communities through two-dimensional artwork and celebrate the growing artist community in the area.
Each artist may submit up to three original artworks with maximum dimensions of 36x36 inches including frame. All work must be wired and ready to hang. The entry fee is $35 per application (non-refundable). Accepted works must be hand-delivered to the ValleyArts Firehouse Gallery, 580 Forest St, Orange, NJ 07050 on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 3pm to 7pm. Mailing artwork is not permitted. Artwork must be picked up by the artist on Monday, October 17 from 3pm to 7pm. The Best in Show award is $200. For questions, contact [email protected] or call 862-252-7035.
