About This Call

SkasdiCon Vol. IV is the fourth annual celebration of Indigenous creativity and expression in pop culture, hosted by the Cherokee Nation. This all-day convention on November 8, 2025 (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM) at 3307 Seven Clans Ave, Tahlequah, OK welcomes Indigenous artists of all disciplines to showcase and sell their work, including art, comics, games, film, and television-related creations.

Eligibility: Artists must be citizens of a United States federally recognized Indian tribe, members of an Alaskan Native Corporation, or recognized and documented Indigenous Peoples under Canadian law. State-recognized tribe members are not eligible. All artists must apply and be juried annually (Cherokee National Treasures are exempt). Required materials include proof of tribal enrollment (not a CDIB card), a short description of your materials and techniques (1000 characters or less), four high-quality images of recent work from the past two years, a booth photo, and image descriptions for each piece including category, technique, materials, inspiration, and size. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by September 26, 2025.

Artwork must be handmade by the registered artist within the last 18 months, be the sole property of the artist, not be commissioned, and be complete and ready for sale. All artwork must be for sale and cannot be sold before Saturday morning. Two-dimensional art must be appropriately framed and ready to hang; no wet canvases accepted. Artwork cannot include any part of an endangered species. Limited edition prints, note cards, postcards, and stickers are permitted if they depict original artwork by the registered artist. Booth sizes are 6x6 ($30) or 8x8 ($50), each including one table and two chairs. Booths must be set up by 9:00 AM on Saturday and cannot be dismantled until 6:00 PM. Artists must be present at their booth at all times. Registration and booth fees are due by October 10, 2025. All fees are nonrefundable. For questions, contact [email protected].
