About This Call
Skagit Artists is a 501(c)(3) non-profit group of visual artists of all skill levels. The organization's vision is to develop Skagit County, Washington into a cultural destination for visitors worldwide.
The exhibition runs November 1-3, 2024 at the Meadow Schoolhouse at Christianson's Nursery, 15806 Best Road, Mount Vernon, WA 98273. Hours are Friday, November 1 from 4 PM-7 PM; Saturday, November 2 from 9 AM-7 PM; and Sunday, November 3 from 10 AM-3 PM. The Artists' Reception and Awards Ceremony is Friday, November 1 from 4:30 PM-6:30 PM. Awards include 1st Place $150 and 2nd Place $100 for both 2D and 3D art, plus a People's Choice Award of $100. Entry fee is $35 for members and $75 for non-members. Submit 1-3 images of your work through callforentry.org by September 25, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
All visual art media are accepted except film or video. 2D artwork may not exceed 24" x 24" total outside diameter and must be dry, framed or museum wrapped, and wired for hanging upon delivery. 3D artwork must fit on a 2' x 2' pedestal or hang on a grid limited to 24" x 24"; floor pieces must be less than 6' tall and not exceed 28" across. Work must have been created in the last three years and be original artwork ready to display. The specific work must not have been shown in a previous Skagit Artists Fall Show. No Giclees or reproductions are accepted unless the work itself is a Giclee or digital. Participating artists must deliver their work November 1 between 12:00 noon and 3:00 PM and pick up unsold work by 5:00 PM on November 3. Skagit Artists retains a 30% commission on all sales. Digital images must be JPEG or JPG format, 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, and under 5 MB.
