About This Call
Skagit Artists is a 501(c)(3) non-profit group of visual artists of all skill levels. The organization's vision is to develop Skagit County, Washington into a cultural destination for visitors worldwide.
This juried exhibition runs November 4-6, 2022, at the Meadow Schoolhouse at Christianson's. Hours are November 4 from 10am-7pm, November 5 from 9am-5pm, and November 6 from 9am-3pm. The Artists' Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held on Friday, November 4 from 4:30pm-7:00pm with refreshments served in the front greenhouse reception room. Jurors are Alicia Harvey (Visual Artists, Phoenix Rising), Potter, and Ellen Gamson (Executive Director of the Downtown Mount Vernon Association). Awards include 1st place $200, 2nd place $150, 3rd place $75, and People's Choice $100.
Entry fee is $35 for members and $65 for non-members. Submit 1-3 images in JPEG format (1200 pixels or greater on longest side, 72 ppi/dpi, under 5 MB). All visual art media is accepted except film or video. 2D artwork may not exceed 24" x 24" total outside diameter and must be framed, museum wrapped, or under glass/plexiglass with wired hanging. 3D artwork must fit on a 2' x 2' pedestal/space and be stable with minimal assembly. Work must have been created in the last three years and not previously shown in a Skagit Artists Fall Show. No Giclees or reproductions are accepted unless the work itself is a Giclee or digital. Participating artists must deliver artwork November 3 between 12:00 noon and 3:00pm. Skagit Artists retains a 30% commission on sales. Unsold artwork must be picked up November 6 between 3:00-5:00pm.
