Skagit Artists Fall Show 2019

Skagit Artists, a 501(c)(3) corporation, invites 2D and 3D artists living in Skagit, Whatcom, San Juan, Island, and Snohomish Counties of Washington State to submit work for their annual fall show. You do not have to be a member of Skagit Artists to enter. Submitting artists must be age 18 or over. This juried exhibition is held in conjunction with La Conner's annual Arts Alive! Show and is a fully sanctioned event of this art celebration. La Conner's Arts Alive! is a popular venue that attracts hundreds of collectors. The show will take place at The Lux Art Center at 603 Morris Street, La Conner, WA 98257 from November 8-11, 2019, with an opening reception on Saturday, November 9th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.

Applicants may submit 1 to 3 pieces with jpeg images for each. For 2D work, there is a size restriction of 110 cumulative inches (calculated by adding the length of all sides including frame). Accepted 2D work must be provided with a hanging wire and ready to hang. 2D work may be any painting media, mixed media, photography, or digital art. 3D work may be any media with minimal assembly. All work submitted and accepted must be the exact work delivered to the show. Video and installations will not be accepted. In addition, each 2D artist may bring one work 11 x 14 or smaller for sale for $150 or less, and each 3D artist may bring one small work for sale for $150 or less. All work accepted for the show must be for sale.

The application deadline is 11:59 PM Mountain Time on September 15, 2019. The entry fee is $25 for Skagit Artists members and $35 for nonmembers. Notifications of accepted work will be sent by email on or before October 1, 2019. Work must be hand-delivered on Thursday, November 7, 2019 between 3:00 and 7:00 pm. Unsold work must be picked up on Monday, November 11, 2019 between 5:00 and 7:00 pm. Commission to Skagit Artists for sold work is 20% for members and 40% for nonmembers. Nonmembers may qualify for the 20% member commission rate by becoming a member by October 5, 2019 for a $55 membership fee.
