Skagit Artists Fall Show 2018/Arts Alive!

Skagit Artists, a 501(c)(3) corporation, invites 2D and 3D artists living in Skagit, Whatcom, San Juan, Island, and Snohomish Counties of Washington State to submit work for their annual fall juried exhibition. You do not have to be a member of Skagit Artists to enter. Submitting artists must be age 18 or over. This exhibition is held in conjunction with La Conner's annual Arts Alive! Show and takes place at the La Conner Historic Civic Garden Club at 622 South Second Street, La Conner, WA 98257. The show runs November 9-11, 2018, with an opening Friday, November 9th from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Cash prizes totaling $1,200 will be awarded: $300 for first place, $200 for second place, and $100 for third place in each of the 2D and 3D categories. Awards will be announced at the Friday night opening. Applicants may submit 1 to 3 pieces as JPEG images. 2D work may not exceed 132" cumulative on all four sides of the frame or outside edge of unframed work and must be provided with hanging wire. 3D work may be any media. All accepted work must be for sale. Video and installations will not be accepted.

Application fee: $25 for Skagit Artists members, $35 for nonmembers. Commission on sold work: 20% for members, 40% for nonmembers. Nonmembers may qualify for the 20% member commission by becoming a member by October 1, 2018 (membership fee $55). Deadline for applications is 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time, September 14, 2018. Notifications of accepted work will be sent by email on or before October 1, 2018.
