Sinners and Saints

The Castle Rock Artist Cooperative (CRAC) is seeking qualified muralists for the commission of a wall mural in downtown Castle Rock, Colorado. CRAC has secured permission from the owner of Ecclesia, located at 221 Perry St., Castle Rock CO 80104, to have a mural painted on their west-facing wall. Ecclesia is Douglas County's first collective of premier artisanal foods, craft cocktails, amusements, and unique entertainment. The mural proposal must be related to the theme of "Sinners & Saints," as the building was first established as a church in 1874.

The west-facing wall is 400 square feet and 18 feet tall. A budget of $4,000 has been allocated for this project. Applicants must submit the following to [email protected]: name and mailing address, statement of interest in the project (250 words or less), resume outlining accomplishments as an artist and/or muralist, budget (including labor, materials, and travel), and a detailed sketch or mockup of the proposed mural. This opportunity is open to national artists.
