About This Call
Sinclair Community College's 2022 Fine Art Student Exhibition serves as a showcase for the Art Department and honors the student body's artistic achievements. The exhibition will be presented online at www.sinclaircollegeartgalleries.org and featured on the Sinclair Community College Art Galleries Instagram (@sinclaircollegeartgalleries) and Facebook pages. The exhibition will run during April 2022 (specific dates to be announced).
Entrants must have taken Art classes at Sinclair Community College during the 2021-2022 academic year. Work must be produced within the past year and not previously exhibited in the student exhibition. All work must be original student work, and works determined to be copied from a published source will not be considered. Students may enter no more than 3 works of art, and all entries must have been created as a direct result of a studio class at Sinclair Community College. No work produced in courses outside Sinclair Community College will be accepted. Eligible media include painting (oil and acrylic), printmaking, collage, drawing (wet and dry media), photography (including digital), sculpture (non-functional), and ceramics.
Works will be selected by an outside juror, Emily Moores (MFA, University of Cincinnati; BFA, Cleveland Institute of Art). Best of Show, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be given. The juror's decision is final. For 2-D work, submit one clear, in-focus image cropped to eliminate background clutter. For 3-D work, submit two clear, in-focus images showing different views, photographed against a neutral backdrop unless an installation shot. Work that is poorly photographed will not be accepted.
