Sinclair Community College Fine Art Student Exhibition 2021

Sinclair Community College invites submissions for the 2021 Fine Art Student Exhibition, a showcase for the Art Department and the student body's artistic achievements. The exhibition will be presented online at www.sinclaircollegeartgalleries.org and featured on Sinclair Community College's Galleries Instagram (@sinclaircollegeartgalleries) and Facebook (Sinclair Community College Art Galleries). The exhibition will run during April 2021 with specific dates to be announced.

Works will be selected by an outside juror, who will also award Best of Show, 2nd, and 3rd place honors. Entrants must have taken art classes at Sinclair Community College during the 2019-2020 academic year, and all work must have been created as a direct result of a studio class at the college. Work must be produced within the past year and not previously exhibited in the student exhibition. Students may enter no more than 3 works. All work must be original and not copied from published sources. Accepted media include painting (oil and acrylic), printmaking, collage, drawing (wet and dry media), photography (including digital), sculpture (non-functional), and ceramics.

Submission requirements: 2-D images must be cropped to eliminate background clutter and require one clear, in-focus image. 3-D work should be photographed against a neutral backdrop (unless an installation shot) and requires two clear, in-focus images showing different views. Poorly photographed work will not be accepted. Students should consult their professor with questions about entry qualifications. The entry deadline is March 19, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
