Sin City

Art Saint Louis presents "Sin City," a juried exhibition open to artists 18 years and older living within 200 miles of St. Louis, Missouri. The exhibition invites original artworks that reflect upon and examine the Seven Deadly Sins: Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath, and Sloth. Works in all media, styles, and techniques are encouraged, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, photography, digital art, textiles, jewelry, glass, and more. AI-generated work is not accepted. All 3-D work must be displayed on platforms, pedestals, or otherwise off the ground. Ceiling-installed and floor-installed artworks cannot be exhibited. Artworks must have been created between 2019-2023 and not previously exhibited at Art Saint Louis.

Entry fees are $25 for non-members and $10 for Art Saint Louis current members. Submissions must include 1-10 images and up to 5 videos. The entry deadline is October 23, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Co-jurors are artists Norleen Nosri and Brian Lathan. The exhibition will be held at Art Saint Louis, 1223 Pine Street, St. Louis, MO, from January 6-February 14, 2024. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.-3 p.m., closed Sundays and holidays. A free reception and awards ceremony will be held Saturday, January 13, 5-7 p.m.

Awards include one $250 Best of Show Award of Excellence, four non-cash Awards of Excellence, and three Honorable Mentions. Award of Excellence recipients will be eligible for the "Honor Awards 2026" ten-artist curated exhibit presented at Art Saint Louis, June 6-July 9, 2026. The jurying process is conducted blind and anonymously, with jurors viewing only artwork titles, years, media, dimensions, display methods, and optional artist statements. Only artworks available for exhibition should be submitted.
