Silent Auction Call for the Sunset Soirée Fundraiser at the Bath House

The Friends of the Bath House announce an open call for submissions for their 2nd Annual Juried Silent Auction, an integral element of the April 16 Soirée fundraiser benefiting the Bath House. This call is open to artists residing in the greater Dallas area only. Proceeds from the auction will be shared 50/50 with the artists, with the Friends' earnings dedicated to project improvements at the Bath House.

The silent auction features an open theme; work submitted should appeal to a broad audience. Up to 25 artists will be selected by jury. The call will close after 150 submissions are received. The jury will base its selection on quality, uniqueness, and value of the artwork, aiming to maintain a well-balanced representation of artists and media. Contemporary original work in any media is eligible, including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, mixed media, jewelry, mosaics, and glass. 2D work should not exceed 32" in the longest dimension (framed). 3D wall-hanging work cannot exceed 36" at its longest dimension; freestanding work cannot exceed a 36" footprint. All work must be original or limited editions, produced within the last two years. There is no entry fee.

Submit applications online by March 10, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Work sample requirements: minimum 1, maximum 4 images. Selected artists will be notified by email by April 1-2, 2016. Art must be delivered to the Bath House on April 13, 2016 between 4-7pm. The digital image submitted must match the piece delivered. All artwork must have hardware installed for immediate installation. Only 2D artwork may be shipped; 3D art must be delivered directly. The artist is responsible for all shipping costs and insurance. All submitted work should have a minimum value of $250.00 (including the Friends' 50% commission). The starting bid will be 45% of the artwork's stated value.
