Art Saint Louis presents "Sideshow," a juried visual art exhibition open to artists 18 years and older living within 200 miles of Art Saint Louis (2801 Locust St., St. Louis, MO 63103). Artists are invited to explore ideas of wonder, awe, mystery, absurdities, and oddities, as well as works that consider sideshows, circuses, cabinets of curiosity, and more. All explorations and interpretations of the theme are invited. Works in all media, styles and techniques created 2021-2025 are encouraged, including but not limited to: airbrush, ceramics, collage, digital, drawing, glass, illustration, jewelry, metalsmithing, mixed media, mosaics, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, video, and woodworking. AI-generated work is not accepted. Digital art submissions must specify the software used. Three-dimensional work is displayed on platforms, pedestals, or otherwise off the ground; ceiling-installed and floor-installed artworks cannot be exhibited. Performance-based video and in-person performance work cannot be presented.

Entry deadline: January 17, 2025, 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee is $25.00 for non-members or $10.00 for Art Saint Louis members. Submit 1-10 images and/or 0-5 videos (1-10 total samples). Jurors are Bryan Walsh, artist and owner of Fifteen Windows Gallery, and Neeka Allsup, St. Louis-based painter and muralist. The jurying process is blind/anonymous; jurors do not see artist names. Awards include one $250 Best of Show Award of Excellence, four non-cash Awards of Excellence, and four Honorable Mentions. Award of Excellence recipients are eligible for the curated "Honor Awards 2027" exhibit.

Exhibition dates: April 12-May 15, 2025, at Art Saint Louis, 1223 Pine Street, St. Louis, MO. Gallery hours: Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Closed Sundays and holidays. Free reception and awards ceremony: Saturday, April 12, 5-7 p.m. Artwork must be available for exhibition March 28-May 15, 2025. Do not submit work that is committed to other overlapping exhibitions.
