About This Call
Northwind Art's Showcase 2025 program will feature local and regional artists in the Jeanette Best Gallery, 701 Water Street, Port Townsend. The program will feature approximately 35 artists who will show across three separate periods from January-May, May-September, and September-December. Artists selected will be notified of selection by November 30, 2024.
Artists will be chosen by a panel of Northwind Art curators based on the quality, professionalism, and sales potential of the work. The selection committee will look for a cohesive body of work from each artist, and final selections will reflect a variety of media, techniques, and styles. Both 2-D and 3-D works will be considered. The program is geared to artists living in Jefferson, Clallam, Mason, Kitsap, and Island counties, but the application is open to artists outside of these counties (all art must be hand-delivered and picked up from the gallery in Port Townsend, WA).
To apply, submit 10 images of your work through CaFE with a $25 entry fee per artist. Each entry should include dimensions, medium, and retail price. Works submitted for review can be examples of former artwork but must demonstrate the style of work that would be exhibited in Showcase 2025. If accepted, artists will be asked to bring 4-8 pieces of work as their initial inventory, with the opportunity to bring in additional pieces as other works sell. The gallery operates on a standard 50/50 commission split with no monthly fees. Showcase 2025 artists are first-priority eligible for the Art in the Hospital program and other Northwind Art community outreach programs. All work in inventory will be available for sale on the Northwind Art website.
