Show Us Your Finest: A Global Art Showcase

This online competition is open to any artist anywhere in the world and is for pastel paintings. 80% of the exposed surface must be dry pastel. No oil pastels, mixed media, altered photos, or AI-generated pieces are accepted. There is no artwork size limitation. Original artwork only is eligible; copies from other artists' work or published work are not permitted. If a photo reference is used, it must be taken by the artist, or if using a photo taken by someone else, written permission from the photographer is required. Work done in a workshop or under guidance from an instructor is not eligible. All subjects and styles are eligible except nudes. Works that have been exhibited in any previous PSAK shows but did not win awards are eligible for entry. Work may be for sale or listed as nfs.

Awards include: Best of Show — $400; First Place — $300; Second Place — $200; Third Place — $100; and 2 Honorable Mentions — pastel-related supplies. Entries must be submitted through the ShowSubmit.com web portal as high-quality JPEG image files. Images should be at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to include only the artwork itself without matting, frames, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly and use the sRGB color profile for best results.

The entry deadline is January 20, 2025. Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the deadline. After submission and payment, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images until the entry deadline. Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline, and incomplete entries will be disqualified.
