Shoebox Lab: 3 Month Intensive Virtual Workshop

Shoebox Arts offers a 3-month intensive virtual workshop focused on supporting and empowering artists through community building, peer mentorship, PR/marketing strategies, and social media management.

The workshop meets twice monthly on Saturday mornings from 10am PST, with sessions lasting 1-2 hours. Meetings begin November 12, 2022. The program is open to artists 18 and older worldwide who have working knowledge of English and access to Zoom. Tuition is $450 (non-refundable). Workshop participants gain access to monthly virtual group meetings covering business of art topics including social media, exhibition proposals, email newsletters, gallery representation, art fairs, business planning, portfolio strategies, website development, and pricing. Additional benefits include monthly virtual studio visit exchanges with paired artists, an accountability partner, an exclusive Facebook group for the Shoebox community, a bi-weekly call-for-art subscription featuring curated opportunities for exhibitions and residencies, mentorship and community support, early access to exhibition opportunities, and a 25% discount on individual 1-hour consultations during the workshop duration.

Artists must sign up through Call for Entry by 11:59 PST on November 6, 2022. Enrollment information and payment instructions will be provided by November 7, 2022, with tuition payment due by November 11, 2022 to secure a place. Meeting schedule includes sessions on November 12 and 19, December 3 and 17, January 7 and 21, and February 4.
