Shock of the New West 2020

The Tubac Center of the Arts presents Shock of the New West, an exhibition that seeks to blend current trends in contemporary art and western themes. Artists are encouraged to imagine traditional western themes in creative ways and to enter work which is innovative in concept and approach, whether representational or abstract.

Work must have been completed within the last 36 months and cannot have been previously displayed at TCA. All work must be the original creation of the artist. Giclee reproductions are not permitted. Up to 4 works may be entered for consideration. Entry fee is $33 for the first image and $5 for each additional image. TCA Members receive a $5 discount with discount code Howdy20.

All artwork must arrive in a condition ready to professionally display or hang. If framed, work must be suitably matted (white, black or neutral colors preferred), simply framed and firmly wired. No sawtooth hangers. All work must be for sale. TCA will retain a 40% commission. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA. Unsold work will be shipped back to the artist after the close of the exhibition. Artists must provide a PREPAID barcoded shipping label for the return of their artwork. Exhibition dates are January 10 to February 16, 2021. Awards include Best of Show ($500), Award of Excellence ($300), Award of Merit ($100), Juror's Award ($100), and Honorable Mention ($75). Artist Cody DeLong of Jerome, Arizona will jury this exhibition.
