Shenandoah Valley Art Center Solo or Group Exhibition

Shenandoah Valley Art Center is accepting submissions from Virginia artists for exhibitions in the Cabell-Arehart Invitational Gallery. SVAC is a non-profit community art center located in historic downtown Waynesboro, Virginia. The Cabell-Arehart Invitational Gallery is a light-filled space with approximately 80 running feet of wall space.

All artists must be based in Virginia. Submissions must include 10 images of past and current work, a statement of exhibition intent, an artist's statement, and a biography/CV. The images should be a cross-section of work to show scale, capability, and presentation. All works must be completed within the past 3 years. Proposals for group exhibitions will be considered. The standards committee is specifically looking for newly completed works that make a cohesive statement.

Works are expected to be framed or otherwise presented ready to hang using the gallery's picture rail and STAS hanging system. Sculpture must be able to stand freely on its own; a full complement of sculpture stands are available. Artists are responsible for shipping or dropping off works. If works are shipped, artists must include a prepaid return shipping label. Entry fee: $25.00. Jury dates: 10/10/23 - 10/12/23.
