About This Call
She the People is presented by NAWA and The National Women's Hall of Fame. This exhibition is open to NAWA Signature Members only.
Accepted media includes painting, collage, pastel, watercolor, photography, and mixed media. Wall art must be no larger than 40 inches in any direction, including frame. Freestanding sculpture is limited to 40"W x 17"D x 42"H. Mixed media must be framed under plexiglass with a maximum depth of 2" including frame. Work must be professionally ready for hanging with wired hangers (no saw tooth hangers, French cleats, or corner hanging hardware). All works must be original—no reproductions or giclee prints are accepted. Digital work must include "digital" in the medium and description. Any use of AI assistance must include the words "AI assisted" attached to the medium. Graphic violence and lewd sexual content are prohibited; nudes are acceptable at the committee's discretion. Artwork that has previously won a NAWA award is ineligible for submission to current and future NAWA juried exhibitions.
All accepted works must be for sale and available for the duration of the exhibition. Price, title, and dimensions cannot be changed after submission. Submitted images must be high-quality JPEGs at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge, with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images should show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background, and must be right-side-up. Entry deadline is February 16, 2026. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be submitted and paid by the deadline. Awards include NAWA First, Second, and Third Place, plus 2 Honorable Mentions. For questions, contact [email protected].
