Shades of Gray II

Lioncourt Gallery presents Shades of Gray II, a juried photography and video competition open to all levels of photographers worldwide. This is a black and white, monochrome, grayscale, and sepia photography competition that also accepts video submissions. The competition offers $200 in total cash prizes, with $100 awarded to the Best of Show Champion in each category (Photo and Video). Winners and accepted works will be featured in the gallery on the website.

Entry fee is $25 for up to three photos and up to two videos, for a maximum of five total works. Artists may submit in one category or both. All images must be in JPG format, minimum 1200 pixels on the longest side, and up to 5MB in file size. Each work must have a title other than "untitled." Videos must be in MP4 format, less than 60 seconds in length, in black and white/grayscale/sepia/monochrome, and family-friendly with no nudity, vulgarity, or politically themed content. No AI-generated content is permitted. Audio and music must be original or obtained through legal means or stock sources.

All entries must be original work by the artist with no signatures, borders, watermarks, or logos. Minor editing such as filters, cropping, saturation, and color corrections are permitted. Jury selection occurs February 16-17, 2025, with notifications on or before February 17, 2025. The gallery opens the week of February 24, 2025. Cash prizes will be sent within two weeks of entry closure. Other top-scoring works will be selected for the gallery, with some awarded Honorable Mention titles. Lioncourt Gallery is 100% online with no physical location.
